Come out come out wherever you are!

Welcome all naturopaths, alternative healthcare practitioners, herbalists, nutritionists, acupuncturists and students of Ayurveda…….whatever your speciality, location or background, I’m so glad you made it over here!

Welcome to our small (but steadily blooming) community!

Who, or what, is the Freelance Naturopath?

If you’re working as naturopath it’s pretty solid bet that you’re working for yourself. Not easy right? Setting up a clinic, reaching out to new patients, and keeping your finger on the pulse of what’s happening in your field is so much more than a full time job, and I’m thinking that from time to time you could do with a little support.

I know, because I’ve been there.

So the long and short of it is this; I’ve decided to be that helping hand….

When I first started my clinic, I was overwhelmed with the amount of work I was faced with. It often left me too stressed and depleted to look after my patients!

  • Most naturopaths do an amazing job day in day out, often, without the support network that other professions have in place.
  • Most natural healthcare providers running busy clinics have little, to no time to market themselves or publish their research.
  • Most practitioners are friendly souls who would dearly love to connect with others in their field, but have lost touch with colleagues because of their busy schedule.
  • All naturopaths are obsessed about new developments in their field! Unfortunately, they often feel out of touch with what’s happening in their area of expertise because they simply don’t have the time to attend courses or read journals.
 Sound familiar?

The goal:

There’s no need to go it alone!

Here’s the deal…..I’ve decided to dedicate this small corner of the internet to you. It’s a space where you can share your comments and questions, get advice about challenging patients, and grab useful tips and resources to improve your practice. None of the hard sell, none of the time wasting, it’s all about you.

Whatever your discipline, and whatever stage of your career you’re at right now, I hope you’ll join me in my mission; to grow a community of 1000 naturopaths by the end of 2014! I truly believe that together we can do great things!

The aim of The Freelance Naturopath is to provide practical advice about the day to day running of your healthcare business, and to be a forum for natural healthcare providers and owners of health related businesses – a place where you can share your goals and ideas.

The Freelance Naturopath community news is written by naturopaths for naturopaths. It’s a place where you can post your articles, share your stories, get help with marketing and setting up your business, and hopefully meet a whole bunch of amazingly forward thinking people who are just like you.

I hope you’ll help me spread the word about all the great things you’re doing, and bring naturopaths around the world together!

I’m really looking forward to meeting you all.

Sarah (the freelance naturopath)
